Active Recovery

Which product is best for me?

-Norma Tec uses compression as a means to increase blood flow to the muscles.

-Marc Pro muscle stimulator flushes the muscles of waste and delivers nutrients to the tissues.

-Compex is more focused on the localized muscle tissue and addressing specific sore or tight muscles.

How often should I use the Recovery Room?

As often as you’d like!  Daily, weekly, whatever fits your schedule best.  Your body will recover better the more consistent you are with any recovery method you choose.  Incorporating a weekly Recovery Room treatment can serve as a supplement to regular stretching, rolling out, and good sleep.  Or you can make use of the recovery tools after a particularly tough workout or training session.

Marc Pro ($15 session, 20min)

Using Marc Pro after any training session or activity will greatly improve your recovery allowing you to feel better, perform better, and reduce the chance of injury. Moreover, if you’re dealing with pain beyond soreness, the Marc Pro Plus can provide significant, lasting, drug-free pain relief.

There are four main factors that regulate muscle recovery inadequately hydrated, nourished, and rested individuals: (1) the bringing in of nourishment and other supplies; (2) the removal of waste; (3) the production and release of myokines; and (4) the remodeling of the repaired tissue.

Only active recovery can accomplish all of these goals as muscle activation is the fundamental facilitator of the four processes noted above.

NormaTec ($35 session, 45min)

The NormaTec PULSE Recovery Systems are dynamic compression devices designed for recovery and rehab. They use compressed air to massage your limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery with our patented NormaTec Pulse Massage Pattern.

When you use our systems, you will first experience a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments are molded to your exact body shape. The session will then begin by compressing your feet, hands, or upper quad (depending on which attachment you are using). Similar to the kneading and stroking done during a massage, each segment of the attachment will first compress in a pulsing manner and then release. This will repeat for each segment of the attachment as the compression pattern works its way up your limb.

Compex ($25 session, 30min)

Simply put, electric muscle stimulation trains your muscles in a way that traditional workouts alone can’t. A “best kept secret” that many elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts use to enhance their workouts and training programs, electric muscle stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electric stimulation, muscle stim or e-stim, is delivered through a small device that sends electronic pulses to your nerve fibers in order to create involuntary muscle contractions.

Compex helps to bring fresh oxygen and nutrients to the muscles to facilitate the flushing of toxins, helping you to recover faster.  Simply place the self-adhesive pads on the muscle area you’d like to work. Select your program and let Compex help you get stronger, bigger, leaner and fitter faster than you would with your regular routine.
